One of the best, if not the best, free racing games.

Torcs, The Open Racing Car Simulator, is the best open source racing simulator on the market. It has outstanding graphics and an artificial intelligence system that is worthy of any commercial title, making the game a must have for any fan of this type of game.

  In this game the user will find more than 50 cars, from the classic Buggy to the Acura NSX, the common Peugeot 206 and 306 and even classic rally vehicles like the Subaru Impreza and the Toyota Corolla. In what regards to the tracks, the truth is that you can encounter all kinds in the game, with more than 40 that range between rally, urban and oval circuits (like the ones used in the Nascar racing).

  The graphics are very well designed, showing reflections, smoke and flashes that are totally dynamic. And even though the car and track models could have some more detail, the truth is that if you consider that it is a totally free game, they are very good.

  In what regards to the game modes, it is possible to choose between practice, a complete championship or to play against various friends using split screen, something that makes it really appealing.
